Proof of funds - lost contract
My Chinese wife and I sold our apartment a couple of years ago and have used the money to go towards the financial requirement for a UK spouse visa. We now have in excess of the £62,500, with plenty set aside for costs and other needs.
However, we have lost the contract for the sale of our apartment. What would the guidence be for proving where a large chunk of our savings came from? Is there another way?

You only need to declare the source, not provide evidence of it.
