Move to the UK from Aus - Partner Visa?
Hi there,
I've been with my partner for 4 years now, she is a British citizen and I am Australian (both female, mid 20's)
We have been traveling back and forth for the duration of our relationship but are at the point where we want something more permanent.
I've read up on it but Visas are so confusing to me. My partner unfortunately does not meet the financial requirements in her Salary.
What is my best option if any others?
Thank you so much in advance

Do you have any recent British, Irish or other European ancestry (parents, grandparents)? If not then a Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme) visa would be the way to go.

Just a few questions about that though, after the 2 years on the YMS was up what visa if any would I apply for to be able to extend my stay.
I'm under the impression that the only visa I could really apply for onshore is the unmarried partner visa and that puts me in the same boat as my partner doesn't earn anywhere near £18,600 a year. Is there no way around her having to earn that? Would my savings come into account?

Just checking that you didn't miss Brit in Paris' question

If you do, you have other options.

I wish I did but unfortunately I don't have any recent British, Irish or European ancestry. It would make things a lot easier.
Thank you anyways
