That’s interesting because this is my second application, my sponsor was self employed for the first application as well we applied in Dec 2016 and got a refusal within 2 1/2 months (within 60 working days) as they claimed we didn’t show “enough evidence” instead of appealing we decided to re-apply as we thought it would have been quicker but here we are 4 months in and still waiting... so it’s surprising that because of the self employed status it would take more time also seems very unfair as we’ve paid same fees as ones that are employed. But it’s possible you might be on to something.

Well that's also interesting that you applied in December 2016 and received a refusal within 2 and 1/2 months. It clearly shows there is a backlog in the system.

May I ask what additional evidence were they expecting?

I dont think this can be true because self employed is registered with hmrc and home office is directly connected with them to verify their documents. If you supplied according to their guidance it can be quicker than emplyement cat

How do you know they are directly connected with HMRC or are you making an assumption?

Has anyone else noticed that the Home Office processing times website (whilst not updated from May 2017) doesn't give the Settlement visa option anymore?

It still gives it for the USA, but updated for September all of a sudden. Where the figures for May used to say that 100% were dealt with by 90 days, it now says 99% by 120 days.

Of course, what they don't tell you is if they have decided your application is not straightforward (their randomly assigned escape clause) then you aren't included in these figures anyway.

We are day 113.

Applied from Australia March this year. Just passed the 160 day mark today. MP made enquiries but UKVI told him that they will process the application in their own good time and ran the ubiquitous 'not straightforward' malarkey to him. We've now had to separate as sponsor's visa expired for applicant's country.

Same here in Philippines application processing time. Before it was 100% on 60 working days . And the VFS Global give us assurance that its only 60 working days or 3 months. But when I checked it again earlier it’s 100% 120 day. Updated sept 2017. Wondering if this processing time will start for sept applicants onwards only
