Default legal agent for a spouse visa

Has anybody used a legal team to apply for a spouse visa?
Have been quoted 1.5k plus the 800 pound application.

I did look into it and they were charging me £1000.00 plus the fee €1140.00 from Spain . I looked at the forms and thought I will apply it on my own. A friend of mine is a lawyer n she helped with 2 questions (can't remember which ones) . It is fairly straightforward . Personally I think you don't need to get a immigration lawyer involved unless u have had problems or issues with UKBA before. Just take your time and read it properly you will be fine . Good luck I was granted my spouse visa . The forum is so helpful and lots of advice given which I discovered after my application. I'm sure some one will share their experience on the forum to assist you.

Thanks Ley

It was just a thought but yes I think we will be applying by ourselves.
No guarantees no matter what you do I suppose.

Congratulations on getting your Visa!

Unless you have a complex situation, it is fairly straightforward to do it yourself. Allow lots of time to sit and research and use the information on this site and immigration sites. All the best

Thankyou!
Need to pull my finger out and get on with it.

Another question, if I was to get a job offer and then on my return the job was no longer there or had a better offer elsewhere am i breaking any rules?

thanks again.

The job has to be a genuine one, under what circumstances would it no longer be there?

The job offer I was hopefully relying on is to be taken over by the Chinese.
Was just concerned if they took the company to China.

If you know it will not exist then not good to use that but if it is only a possibility and nothing else then you have done nothing wrong
