Re: last hours to have your say about UK Immigration policy!
The APPG on Migration will publish its report of the inquiry ‘Into the New Family Migration Rules’ on Monday, 10 June 2013 at 00.01.
Copies will be available on the Committee’s website on the day of publication.
I've been invited for another trip to Parliament for the launch.

On Friday morning, I was interviewed by Channel 4 for a short piece to be broadcast on Monday evening on Channel 4 News at 7pm, as part of their coverage of the Parliamentary report being released on Monday.

So, in other words, if you got money, you're ok, otherwise you're just a deadbeat and we don't want you.

And I love that one of the "unintended consequences" the report itself turns up (p.25 on the link DaveLovesDee just posted) is that British citizens who cannot meet the requirements to bring their non-EEA spouse to the UK are having to claim benefits to cover child-care costs, benefit payments that the non-EEA spouse could make unnecessary...IF only the non-EEA spouse could move to the UK.
THAT should get some government attention, I hope!

Yes, it's absolutely ridiculous. Even very onerous US immigration law allows for the foreign spouse's income to be included if it will continue from the same source after immigrating. And it allows for a joint sponsor. I simply don't understand why UK law is even more restrictive on this.
