Incorrect name on Visa

Incorrect name on Visa
Hi Folks,
We are about to submit our visa applications for my wife and stepchildren and everyting is completed online (we can't alter them). We have noticed that one of the kids names is wrong in terms of first names in the surname box and surname in forename box. (I can't believe we missed it either!)
we spoke to our legal advisor and they said, we can leave it, it will be fine. I was wondering, should be not point it out on the printed version that goes to sheffield by means of an initialed correction? or should we supply a cover letter acknowledging it?
or do we just leave it?
