Default How long can I stay away from the Uk

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding time limit to be away from the UK on ILR . I got my ILR in 2024 and honestly I’m not ready to start the naturalise and then apply for passport process because it takes time and lots of stress plus I gotta have couple referees n stuff just makes it complicated for me since I’m a homemaker. My husband and I may do Asia hopping for a year but I was wondering if it can be an issue with my ILR?
bdw hope everyone is enjoying a good weather 😊 thank you for reading my post 👍🏼

You can stay away for up to two years without your ILR expiring however being away for a year is likely to delay your eligibility to naturalise. Personally I would naturalise now and then you never have to worry about it ever again.

Yh seems like if we wanna go for long travel I may have to go through this process . I was wondering if my husband’s manager of limited company can be one of my referee ? (in the category where they have given list of professional that can be accepted) husband been with him for ages and he’s knows me like an acquaintance only. I was thinking if I could ask nhs but honestly I barely go to docs and it’s always a diff person so I don’t have personal gp. I don’t know if I can still ask

If your husband’s manager is a director of the company then yes.
