Does apply for the visa activate the 28 day rule!?
I’m confused.
we are married and have all the required documents (payslips, letter of Employment, statements etc) now we need to go ahead and apply.
When we apply does that start the 28 day rule?
Can we get the biometrics after we apply?
Basically:
Is it something like this
1. Apply online/fee/fill in whatever it says (activating 28 day rule)
2. Get biometrics
3. Post original documents and biometrics
4. Get Visa

The ‘28 day rule’ refers to your latest financial documents - payslips, bank statements, etc.. - not being older than 28 days on the date of application. You give your biometrics at your biometrics appointment which is arranged after you submit your application.

For example;
My documents are dated with various dates but my oldest is 3/9/19. So say I apply for the visa 24/9/19 for whatever reason. After that I get my biometrics appointment say in 2/10/19 then after that I decide to send in all the paper work. Now the paperwork I’m sending in is no longer dated within 28 days because they are dated 3/9/19 and the date I’m sending them in is 2/10/19.
But because I applied online on the 24/9/19 does that mean everything is in date and acceptable or do I know have to get new documents that are within 28 days of 2/10/19?
Hope that makes some sense. It’s blowing my mind!

The date of application is when you submit your online application. 3 September to 24 September is 21 days so if you apply on 24 September then you meet the 28 day rule. When you attend your biometrics is irrelevant.
