@Kenya
You should get an email maybe soon, you've waited long enough.

all they wanted is a picture of his 'passport' once he sent that to the email they provided us,
i got an email around 5 hours later, saying 'Passport printed and sent off' i was actually shocked. but amazed,
and few days later it was in my hand... all the way from uk to china - amazing.
3 months it took me.

Applied 3rd Feb in Moscow. First time application for a 4 month old child.
Application went to Liverpool HMPO.
Still waiting.
MP approached but was unable to help.
I am considering a judicial review but it would be an expensive exercise.
The whole situation is beyond appalling.

Still... bloody wrong if you ask me,
they emailed me on the 3rd month and sent it off... security checks all passed.
this was after i got my family involved and my local MP and so on.
when push comes to 'shove'
Hang in there fella!

Kenya and Russia are both considered high risk countries and there's still a huge backlog to work through although August is traditionally the quietest time of year at the passport office so they should be able to finally start catching up.

It would've been cheaper and faster to get ETD and apply from within the UK.
We had to postpone twice and eventually cancel our holidays.
I am transferred back to the UK in Sep and my wife is effectively stuck in Russia with children.
Of course, we could apply for ETD now but all the documents are with HMPO. And they have not replied to even one of my calls.
Taxes well spend!
