Hey guys probably the last question from me! Sent off all the uk spouse visa documents to Sheffield yeaterday! Big relief. We applied using category a. From what I understand you have to be employed at time of application but now the application has been sent off I am thinking about having next Tuesday be my last day at work. This is ok right?

Are you the applicant or the sponsor?

If sponsor, and you are quitting the job you have in the UK which fulfills financial requirements, upon finding that you have quit this job the authorities will refuse your application.

Thanks for your reply. My wife and I are both in America and I am the sponsor. I do have a job offer in England and have been employed in my American job for the last six months and still employed with them.

Common prudence suggests that you remain employed for a while longer.

Agree, if the worst happens and the visa isn't approved you'll probably still want your job in the US. Good luck

I would suggest quitting your job before the visa is issued would not be a prudent move.
