BRP delays and delivery issues
I wanted to share my experience with picking up the biometric residence permit, as it was a confusing and frustrating process for me. This post relates to applying for a visa outside of UK, e.g picking up a BRP from local post office.
I have read online that BRP's have been delivered to incorrect addresses and are often delayed past the date said available in the entry clearance letter. This was the case in my experience.
I selected a post office in London as part of the original application for pick up of the BRP. However when my settlement visa was approved it stated in my entry clearance letter that my BRP would be available at a post office near my registered address. We attempted pick up numerous times past the date advised it would be available but it was not there. I contacted the home office via the UK gov website selecting that the BRP was not there. After two days the home office replied saying it was at a different post office. There was no way of knowing this based on the entry clearance letter.
I would strongly advise people if their BRP in not at the listed post office in the entry clearance to immediately check with the home office as it may well have been delivered to a different post office.

Re: BRP delays and delivery issues
Was the Post Office your BRP was actually delivered to the Post Office you selected originally or a third Post Office?

Re: BRP delays and delivery issues
It was the original one i selected. However the letter accompanying the entry clearance listed a different post office located near my registered address.
