Does anybody out there no if I can get a British Passport for my wife.
I let mine lapse and I will be rewnewing my own soon. I have an Australian Passport has well and so does my wife. She was born in Croatia has lived in Australia for 17 years, we have been married for 6 years. Just wondering if anbody would have any more information.

If she is a UK citizen, then sure.

If she's not, then no.

Being married to a UK citizen does not entitle one to UK citizenship and UK passport.

Does she still have her Croatian passport? Croatia will be part of the EU from July 2013 which may assist if you're planning to move back.

thank you for that, thats intresting I did not no that Croatia was becoming part of the EU, I am not moving back I am very happy here in Australia but I just wanted to get her a British Passport. thanks for your help

Then you'll have to move back to the UK, together, for a few years.
