British citizenship

Hi

I have a friend who was adopted. His adopted mother was born in Kenya in 1954 and has British citizenship. How can he apply for British citizenship. He was born in 1988

It appears your friend has missed the boat. His parents would've needed to registered him for British citizenship before he turned 18.

Thank you, would he be eligible for an Ancestry visa though?

If one of his adoptive grandparents was born in the UK, then yes.
