Let’s just hope no new and exciting errors have been introduced!

Well, there's always three MN1 applications plus a future spouse visa for them to royally mess up! 🤣

USPS has now entered the chat. 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

My package is now taking a tour around the northeast, presumably due to the winter storm backlog. Hopefully it gets delivered this week.

FINALLY got the right certificate. 577 days total from original application.

Now I get to send it right back to the UK for a passport. Haha.

Glad to hear it!

When does your son turn 18?

We still have over 6 months. MN1 completed last night and biometrics is scheduled for Monday. It will be -13 degrees C here on Monday, so why not drag three teenagers into the middle of Boston? Fun stuff!

My bank account hurts. I had a heck of a time getting the credit card charges to go through on the second and third applications. I tried three different credit cards and even called the company, but they still kept declining. I ended up using PayPal which gave me a very unfavorable exchange rate. When you're spending $5,000, what's a few hundred more!

I still can't believe we are entitled to this. It may very well greatly change the trajectory of at least one of my children's futures.

As for my husband and I, maybe we'll retire to the BVI.

That card issue has been a problem for at least 15 years so you're not alone.

Even though it's a sizeable outlay, it remains relatively inexpensive and a lot easier compared to the alternative. Unfortunately even Brits need permits to live on the BVI, but it's a great gift to your children - I hope they will appreciate it and get to use it in the future!
