researching chinese companies.

Off topic I know.
But can anyone tell me how I can go about researching Ltd Company's in China, I want to do some checks to see if a company is genuine and trading legally. Thanks

Bit of a long shot but you could try contacting the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

At the very least they could point you in the right direction.

Depending on where in the world you are, does the Chinese Embassy have some kind of office that assist with potential investors? That kind of office may have resources, including a library, containing the kind of information you seek.

I know that Japan and S. Korea have such offices around the world so perhaps China has the same.
