What is a reasonable salary in Mexico City?
I am looking for advice so hopefully someone can help. I was offered a job in Mexico City yesterday which pays 35,000 pesos a month plus an additional 10,500 as a housing allowance. What sort of lifestyle could I have on that? Thanks

Sounds OK - depends on your lifestyle requirement, naturally, and whether you are single, with partner & kids - whatever.
For comparison, the American School here in Tampico pays MN$24,000 per month and provides all-expenses paid accommodation for its foreign teachers (house or apartment in good area of suitable size). With that in mind, your deal sounds good to me.
However, the cost of living is slightly higher in DF - you have to factor in transport costs etc. But your salary would be the equivalent (with Purchasing Power Parity) of around $5000 a month (less taxes).
