Default Immigrating to Brazil

I have been granted a permanent residency visa in Brazil as a retired person. I want to bring a car into Brazil and my personal effects. What are the fees and procedures? Should I use a facilitator, and how do I find an honest one?

I believe it is illegal to import a car unless it is new or more than 30 years old. Plus there are horrendous import duties to pay!

You can (theoretically) import your personal effects up to 3 months before the grant of your permanent visa, or up to 6 months after the grant.

You will need a shipper in your home country, and an agent here, but this totally depends on where you are relocating to. This should also determine very carefully WHAT to bring with you - for example a lot of furniture will not withstand the rigours of the climate in certain areas. Seek local advise in Brazil.

Than You debzor, your response seems to be the consensus.
