Jobs
Hi I'm a qualified secondary science teacher. My fiancé has just been offered a teaching post in grade cayman and unfortunately I haven't. Would it be a stupid move coming over together with me looking for a job once we are over?

Re: Jobs
Probably also worth mentioning that it doesn't have to be teaching. Would be nice but not essential.

Re: Jobs
Hi Lee,
Schools usually start their recruitment in January, so unlikely you would find something here until then - although 'no shows' for jobs starting in September do happen in which case schools are rushing to find someone qualified to do the job.
Which school is your wife working in? Government or private? Might be worth her making enquiries when she starts at her school too!
You can survive on a teacher's salary supporting two people - we have friends that do it. It's not easy, but doable - depends where she is on the pay scale too, and whether it's private or government (government schools tend to pay higher salaries).
