Default Cayman's popularity among Brits

https://caymanmarlroad.com/2025/01/0...ritish-movers/ Cayman is in the top ten "desired destinations for British movers!" Wow! Looking good! My family have lived there happily since 1978, after intending to stay only three years. It's a wonderful place. I'll be glad to answer questions here on BE.

Default Re: Cayman's popularity among Brits

A good reason why Cayman is popular may be that it's a wonderful place to bring up children. Our son was 2 1/2 when we came here, and he benefited wonderfully, over the years - kindergarten with children his own age from a variety of countries, then eight years at a wonderful private school, through to one year at the local government high school. (After that we put him in a boarding school in England, when I was in danger of being expelled by the local politicians. Ach, it's a long story!) At age 12 or 13, he got himself an after-school and during-vacations job here working in a scuba-diving "shop" - moving inventory around in exchange for diving-lessons. After his A-levels, he became a professional dive-instructor and (later) a submarine-pilot carrying tourists off the cruise ships. Then he went on to other things in other places, but I am just mentioning what a wonderful place Cayman was - and still is - for the children of expats living here. People looking to move overseas should always consider the benefits their children will receive!
