we just booked for holiday in 2019 and been told only payed wifi in hotel,
hope like the rest of the world it does sim cards with internet for people visiting? Any help out there please we going to runaway bay.

If you dont get a useful reply i suggest you ask in tripadvisor.com, this forum is really about expats rather than holidaymakers.

Its highly likely that you just buy a sim, you certainly do in many other islands, but its also true that in most islands excellent free wifi exists in most hotels and all bars/restaurants. I know sandals still rips its customers off for wifi however.

Put name of hotel in google what comes up? was reading a brochure it said wifi in foyer of hotels

you can get a digicel sim card to buy at the airport and you can go on the digicel website to top up with you're debit or credit card the you card and a data plan to once you've got snuff credit to do so
