Between about 8.30 and now, the entire internet was known to be out in Grenada and Trinidad, anywhere else in the caribbean? Sounds like a major SNAFU somewhere?

Apparently it was a break near curacao and re-routing wasnt setup correctly so the southern caribbean halted for a few hours. Ive been inside one of those cock ups in a bank, one of my hats was major incident manager, actually quite fun as you are in total charge for a while, 'sorry, too busy to talk to the MD, unless the board confirm its ok to extend the outage, he can read the hourly bulletins like the rest of management.'
