Default Holiday in Bermuda

We are from scotland and currently living in Canada. We are thinking of going to Bermuda for our summer holiday and wondered if anyone could advise us where to stay?

Our son will be 10 months old by then and thought self catering is possibly our best option. We are looking for luxury ish accommodation with access to a swimming pool and possibly the beach. If possible within walking distance of shops would be great.

Thank you for any advice you may have

Try bermudarentals.com for your accommodation. I would particularly recommend the area around John Smith's Bay in Smith's Parish and St George in general, the latter has a decent range of restaurants and a smallish supermarket plus there is a shuttle to the beach - a generally very nice place to stay.

This is one such example which gives you a rough idea of the area which is full of character.

From St George, there is decent access to attractions such as:

St David's - Black Horse Tavern
The Ice Cream Parlour
Swizzle Inn
Crystal Caves
Shelly Bay
Tobacco Bay & Fort St Catherine
Ferry to Dockyard (museum beach & dolphins) and onwards to Hamilton
The Aquarium and Flatts Village
Spittal Pond and John Smith's Bay by #1 Bus
Mid Ocean

Hamilton when you need it

Airport is about ten minutes away by taxi
