The Caribbean islands in general are a wonderland of pleasure, and BE members looking for jobs have a wonderland of opportunities. Every island has its own charm, and I can't think of any two that are alike. Of course I haven't been to all of them, and those I have been to might have changed a bit since I was there. But still... It surprises me that there isn't more interest in working there. The tax-havens have some extremely well-paid jobs, with zero income tax. What's not to like about that?
I first visited back in 1966, on a cheapo BOAC round ticket from Toronto, back in the day when the islands were much less advertised than they are now, and much less sophisticated. Today, all the islands in the region are free of racism, and welcome foreigners of all sorts.

I strongly dispute the racism suggestion, barbados and the french islands are strongly racist, and its a thing elsewhere too, but many ex-pats just dont know, it depends on the circles they inhabit, and just like the uk, its sometimes well disguised.
