Well hello there

we have been in Calgary one week today and so far so good. We have opened a bank account got our SIN numbers, got out health cards, the children are all in schools and managed to get through the really cold weather!

Lets hope the next few weeks are as easy as this week has been.

We spent our first two weeks in Calgary. I remember it being 26c in April and a huge amount of ice down by the river in the centre of town. V strange. Cant believe that was 11 years ago. Good luck and enjoy.

Well done for surviving your first week, it's now our third and like you still going strong. The kids being settled is the main worry and like yours mine is happy as Larry in her new school.

Congratulations on your first week. We have been here 2 months today. Time is going so quick. We have settled in our house and our furniture etc has all arrived safely with nothing broken and our dog arrived and is also looking beautiful in her coat and bootees.

I am a little worried as hubby starts work on wednesday so going to be on my own!

welcome, and congrats on getting here, send me a pm, if your in need of someone to talk too, we are here 10 weeks on thursday and it has been very eventful, i know that feeling when kids and hubby go off to work, that is when the homesickness will really hit home.

Awww! I remember the magic of the first week Mind you it hasn't really worn off yet 10 months later! Still wake up and have to pinch myself that this is now my homeland Hope your happiness goes from strength to strength too!
