Re: My Journey...
Currently in rural Manitoba and it feels like a completely different country from Vancouver. Different hobbies, different chain stores/restaurants in the towns, different social values, different climate, different landscape, different history, different demographic, etc.

Re: My Journey...
oh yeah i realise that, i've been told i'd like Vancouver, but i don't think i'm liberal enough to live in BC
If i end up with PR, i might give somewhere like Toronto a try if its not happening here by this time next year, but time will tell!
Hell i might even try Australia or something like that

Re: My Journey...
So based on the Ayr United avatar I have to ask, are you from Ayrshire?

Re: My Journey...
Well, you've survived a year pretty well by the sounds of it. Enjoy your next year, make the most if it and just see how you feel. Doesn't have to be forever, but it will surely have been a great experience and good career background whatever happens. Good luck.

Re: My Journey...
So is my Mum and my Dad is from Kilwinning (although all of his family live in Irvine now). I lived in Ayr when I was younger (on Treebank Crescent) and most of Mum's family is still there.
And my cousin (my Dad's nephew) worked at GE too. A senior managerial position in their offices but I forget what, exactly, he did.

I'll PM you his name as I don't want to post it openly on the web.

I've been in Brampton for years now, with a decade spent in Kitchener-Waterloo.
I was born in Toronto but we moved back to Ayr when I was just a couple of months old and lived there for a few years before returning to Canada. The family has been in Brampton for about 35 years now.
