Finally released from solitary
Hi all,
I wanted to update all those who have sent me their good thoughts and help.
My saga is about moving to Canada from the UK and hating every waking moment of it. Much of this had to do with where we landed.
So... We are in the process of moving to the Vancouver area. Mission, actually.
My husband finally gave it up and decided it was cheaper to buy there than get a divorce. I'm sure it was more than that...I'm making a funny.
So it seems to all have been resolved. I am off my island prison and beginning to dig in here in Mission. I wish it was the UK, but we all have to compromise in a marriage. We now each have some of what we want.
Thank you everyone for your help, your support and your happy thoughts. You guys are a wonderful bunch and I am blessed to have had you looking out for me.

How wonderful to hear from you! Congratulations woman...well done
I just looked you up and it says there are 36,000 inhabitants in Mission. Are you near the town, do you have neighbours within walking distance? Are there any of the things in Mission, that you hankered for in your former isolation?
Is your husband still disappearing on a regular basis? ...if he is, you make sure your'e in a position to have some fun! I am pleased that you might be in a better environment

You can be in downtown Vancouver in 40 or so minutes on the train! Much more stuff available to you to make life more enjoyable. Good luck!

Yup!
I will be 20 from downtown Mission, 25 to Maple Ridge, and a little longer into the city.
I was hoping for London, there was an opportunity there, but the work would have been many many hours and full on intense. So we opted for a slower life here in BC.
Hubby is working full time until the house on the island is sold and we can pay off the house in Mission.
I can breathe again! Yeah! Now, I need to restart my life. My son might even come and visit me too!

I lived in rural Mission for a few months once, but it was in the boonies a good 20 minutes into town....Not a bad town, close enough to Abbotsford to have everything you need for the most part.
