I arrived for the first time at Toronto Pearson airport on a 1 year work secondment on a freezing cold January day in 2008.
8 years, 1 divorce, 4 jobs, 3 relocations, 1 new relationship and 2 kids later ....I'm still here!
I'd never have predicted my life taking so many twists and turns on that winter day 8 years ago, but everything has turned out so well. I'm married to an amazing Canadian girl and we have two wonderful kids and live in a great neighbourhood of Toronto.
Nothing's perfect though, I wish I could get back to the UK a bit more to see family and my old friends (it's been 2 years since my last trip now) as Skype doesn't quite cut it any more. But it is what it is and I have no regrets, I'm definitely in the right place.
Cheers everyone,
Tim.

Congrats on 8 years and the new family and for sticking with Canada..
There's a meet-up in Toronto in March, if you felt the need for a little bit of Brit company..
