6yrs ago in land far far away...
We packed up and got on a plane to start a new life in Alberta.
Lived in Airdrie from day 1 and love it. Wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Husband is involved with coaching the new Rugby team, daughter is trying to play too. I'm playing slo-pitch - all this coming to end with the end of summer but looking forward to next year. Actually looking forward to the snow - still love it despite it lasting for 6months
Went back to an old job earlier this year, less stress, less hours and less travelling = more happiness.
Still love Canada, the country and the people. Got some amazing friends, a great house and an all round better life. Going back to Blighty in October for the first proper visit (alone) and although looking forward to it I know I'll be so excited to get back 'home'.

Visit was good. Although reaffirmed the fact that I'm happy to be living here. Nothing bad to say about the homeland, didn't leave because we hated it, we just wanted something different.
Will be applying for Citizenship when I can stop spending the fee on wine or beer or just plain old having fun LOL
