Re: 54 years and counting
I'm a newbie I guess. We only have 45 years in. Came with two little girls and now we have five granddaughters, one married.

Coming to Canada at age 19 in 1962, the place was definitely different than it is today, or was it?.

that makes me infant at 73 years ;)
You should prepare yourself as you'll be older in a flash....and it doesn't get any better. The mind says you can do this and that but the body contradicts. Too soon you'll only have a memory of the good ole' days when you were 73..... Trust me, getting old isn't something to boast about....it sucks. |
Re: 54 years and counting
Gracious Davita, Xavier and Largo...that's what I call staying power...well done
I helped a lady at the Remembrance Ceremony yesterday who fell in love with a Canadian, when she was 20 and arrived here in NB 72 years ago, from East London. Three children and countless grandchildren later, she was amazingly spry, fit and positive! There's hope for us all yet! |

Fortunately, I had my annual physical and am told I am basically healthy and that I probably inherited good genes. That and being stubborn / strong willed has got me here so far .That's part of being from Northumberland, I think. |
