5 years on Thanksgiving

5 years on Thanksgiving
Mad to think its 5years already.
2 years in the planning (waiting, tediously waiting), visiting, ready to go - AIP started and no one knew what it was, walked an employer through it and now im a week away from celebrating 5 years with them.
Came to Nova Scotia, completely avoided Halifax and love our life in the sticks, kids were young when we landed, now well into school and sound completely Canadian.
Never thought about wanting to go back, post covid weddings catch up forced our hand into a visit but now its Canadian passports in hand - you cant get rid of us.
Best move i ever made
