Moved here from Dubai 5 weeks ago and we all love it. I have 3 kids 3, 6 and 9 and the eldest was really disapointed we were moving here but so far they have made loads of friends have joined a soccer club and are loving the fresh air. I can't really think of any negatives apart from shopping isn't as good as I thought but that's minor oh and Ribenea can cost nearly $10 !! We are all looking forward to our future here and looking onward to the seasons !

There are small bottles of concentrate that you squeeze into water like diluting juice, but more concentrated for about $3.49 in safeway or walmart.
Tried the Brit chippy in Edmonton and was not impressed at all,my local chippy in Scotland had won awards for its food though.
Glad you are loving the move,I've loved it since day 1,my 3 girls(5,7,8) all love it here.
My partner had her birthday here 2 days after she landed, the middle kid turned 7 at the end of June, next up is me and the dogs birthdays.

I have to say I was getting quite worried as there are quite a lot of negative experiences on here ! Getting used to life without cordial !!!!

welcome! We've been here over 2 months now and still loving it
I'd also highly recommend tracking down Mio. Most shops have it now, it seems to be a trendy new thing! Very small bottles, but you add very little to water. I drank squash all the time in Scotland so it's a godsend! Cristal Light is also good, and there are a few other brands now - Dasani do one, and I'm sure I saw another one the other day... clearly a growing market!

Cordial is a concentrated drink you dilute with water. Thanks for the tip, I have been hunting for some since landing 5 months ago! I hate the taste of the water here!

It's so nice when the move is a positive one.
