You're right to be proud of all three mate.

Even the one that became a lawyer and lives in Vancouver?

Indeed,

33 years - who would have thunk it? Not you, on many a day, I am sure. ;)

Congrats - please have an inadequate beer with some exorbitant cheesy crudités.

Oh, you know how to party!

Wow - that's a lot of years.

Belated congrats - and yes, you have plenty to be proud of.

She plays to my prejudices, writing this week, from Europe:

"It's absolutely gorgeous here. I thought Vancouver in the springtime was nice but it's got nothing on this place."

Unfortunate choice of occupation though, agreed.

I don't imagine anyone would mistake me for a Canadian, I'm certainly not that.

I don't mean because of the accent. I mean are your interests and habits more British or Canadian?
I grew up in both the UK and France and believe I am a mix which is why I was asking...

British, I think. I suppose long term one might say that I've been able to indulge British interests due to Canadian funding. In the UK sailing and horses would have been beyond my means (and status).

I'm not much exposed to the Canadian media so I could certainly name more members of the British cabinet than the Canadian one. I don't know, for example, who's Premier of Ontario or if the iced hockey season is in the play off stage yet or if there are still NHL teams in Canada (I do know that the Quebec and Winnipeg ones have gone.) otoh, I know that Liverpool have a very good shot at finishing top of the league and that Tottenham do not.

A spanner in the works is that I've worked almost as much in the US as in Canada, and certainly have more clients there than here. I've seen a lot of the US but little of Canada.

I meant gone from Canada. Like the North Stars went from Minnesota. Still, you're right, I meant it as an example of something someone involved with Canada would likely know and I don't. If I cared I could look it up.
