But at least they're bloody good roads!

Mine's less than that, £110 I think?

And of course these days loads of cars pay no car tax at all, including things like Ford Fiestas and VW Golfs.

Well I can't comment on too much yet...

But cell phones with no connection fee, and a sim for £10 is nice
Broadband at decent speeds ,30mbs for £20 a months is pleasant
outside tempreture at 7deg C worth coming back for......:D

Love Canada 9 out of 12 months of the year... it's just the other 3 that's the problem... throw in lack of long term job security and a realization there's no f'ing way i'd want to retire here and the goal posts move...

I'm pretty sure there will be a few holidays, and I think camping lake side will be one of my summer destinations..

This. My thoughts exactly.

Just to follow up on this

Not sure how we pulled it off...

But we moved from a (very)pretty old farm house in Caledon, to a boring old rental in Bourneville ( but not ugly) now into an 1850's white cottage with woodland front and rear just south of Redditch on the Worcester/Warwickshire border
A house that I think is even nicer than what we left .....
