Wow, can it be 10 years already? First landed in Halifax via TO on this very day back in 2007. Lived in a small town in NS until 2 months ago then moved to SE Calgary because my husband had been commuting every 10 days for 3 years to the oil sands. That's quite the commute I can tell ya!
Kids stayed back in NS. Our oldest (26) now lives in Halifax with his girlfriend and our youngest (22) still lives in our small town but we hope he moves to Calgary. I flew him out here on December 25th as a surprise for his dad who was working away over Christmas and didn't get home until the 28th. Our son really liked our new home, where we live, the city and the mountains (we went to Banff). Fingers crossed.......
So that's us 10 years in, 4 years dual nationality. I'm heading back to Aberdeen again in a couple of weeks. I think I've been home about 6 times since we moved. Glad we moved to Canada. It's a lovely country. Will always love my homeland too though â¤

Nice update - glad it's all going well. The years really fly by, don't they?

I have a strong feeling of deja vu.
I thought you'd left NS longer ago than 2 months and it seems I've said that very same thing before.
Glad all is still going well

Congratulations on your 10 years - from one Aberdonian to another! Been over 10 years since we left (although 6 of those were spent in Australia)and we've been back only twice in that time. Same as you, will always love my homeland but glad we moved to Canada (even if it is frikkin beyond a joke freezing right now lol)
