We arrived here just over a year ago now and haven't looked back once.
We landed in Halifax on March 25th and after picking up our TWPs and being welcomed to Canada by a very friendly immigration officer we boarded the onward flight to Fredericton. When we landed here it was 12 degrees and beautiful, I don't think summer will be coming that early this year though!
I think we have done more in the last year than we have for a long time, we really embraced the seasons and went hiking, camping and kayaking over the summer. I joined the Fredericton frisbee league and the OH joined a golf club. This winter we went snowboarding for the first time in years and we joined a curling league and learned to curl! And before anyone makes fun - it's really fun, have a go.
Our PR came through last September at the same time we closed on a house in the downtown area. We're now slowly renovating as it hadn't been touched in 40 years.
We are both enjoying our jobs and more importantly really enjoying our lives outside of work. We have made some good friends over the past year and are much more relaxed and social than we ever were in the UK.
So it's been good this far and we are now just looking forward to getting the camping gear and bbq out again this summer!
