Any UK carpenters looking for work in Whistler?
Hi
I run a small carpentry company in Whistler BC. I am looking for Carpenters as its hard to find any here as there is so much work. Its especially hard to find any good ones. I am from the UK and am happy to help out any carpenters looking to move here.
Work is all high end, we work 80hrs across 9 days and have every other Friday off. Health and dental included after 6 months employment. Good rates of pay.
Regards
Loz

Hello Loz,
I am a carpenter from England waiting to get back to Whistler asap. Is there any work still available? <snip>
Thanks

Hi, what is your immigration status, do you have permanent residency / an IEC application in place etc. or do you need an LMIA or job offer?

I am a carpenter and Joiner who has worked all over the UK and even spent a year working in Vancouver.
My family and I have always wanted to return to BC as it is a beautiful place, and even visited Whistler whilst we were over there. I have over 30 years experience in the field and would love the opportunity to return. The only drawback is that I'm now 50 and resigned myself to the fact that I am now to old to return.
I am not sure on the age limitations if there is a job waiting or whether you would be interested in taking on someone at my age. If you would be interested in speaking with me about the opportunity, please feel free to contact me.
