Meanwhile, Zoom Airlines, the Atlantic's only dedicated low-fare
carrier, yesterday launched its expanded flight programme from next
year.
Flights from Glasgow are now available for reservations up to the end
of October 2008, and all flights from the city will go directly to
Canada.
En-route stops at other UK airports will be eliminated to improve
customer convenience, said the company, which added that the number of
flights from Glasgow to Calgary would double.
John Boyle, chairman and founder of Zoom, said: "I'm delighted that so
many people are now choosing to make Zoom their first choice to fly to
Canada from Scotland.
This overwhelming vote of confidence from our customers means we have
expanded our services for 2008 to offer more convenient, direct
flights at the same great-value fares."
He added: "I'm particularly pleased that we are able to expand our
services from Glasgow, one of our key UK departure points, where
customers now have a much wider range of Zoom flights."

Its a shame Zoom have downgraded lots of their services from GLA to the narrowbody 757. I much prefer the widebodied 767.
