WP blues!!
hi trying to type this on I phone so excuse any typos!
Just received back documentation for twp, as the bank draft was for too much money, I had paid for youngest study permit when she won't be 6 til next year.
Anyway question, we are on a tight schedule want to be in Calgary by early January, so do we chance sending it back to them or go for twp at Poe.
I know they are taking on average 6 weeks to process, am afraid will get caught up in Xmas hols etc.
Any thoughts especially anybody gone through Poe route
Thanks Anne
Ps I wouldn't have minded if they had kept 125 dollars and put it toward their Xmas party once they process my papers:curse:

Re: WP blues!!
We got our TWP at POE on Inter-Company Transfer. We were a bit nervous, but TWP was issued. If you have all your paperwork, LMO etc. it should be a simple process.
There are a few recent threads on this topic that you could look out for.
Best of luck.
Rob.

Re: WP blues!!
Hi Anne
We also did our TWP on POE and had no problems as long as you have your LMO and signed job offer letter. We were issued with a 2 year WP. I was also issued with an open WP so that I am able to work and the kids didn't need study permits as they went on my open work permit. Also we paid around $300 for the lot. Which was much cheaper than what an immigration consultant was asking, double I recall:curse:
Hope that helps
Rachel

Re: WP blues!!
Hi all just to let you know after some reading of old threads we have decided not to send back documentation and just bite the bullet and get TWP at POE....we have now booked our flights and are arriving in Calgary in early January...to say im scared; nervous; excited; anxious etc is an understatment.
Would just like to say a big thankyou for all those who have helped with advice throughout this process
We booked the flights during the election last night at about 2am, got caught up in the whole emotion of the night.
Will keep ye posted
