This has been covered a tonne of times.
Yes it is possible.
What do you need ?
Copy of positive LMO
Copy of Job Offer and Contract of Employment
Originals of any degree certificates
Originals of any Professional Certificates
If you are applying for a SOWP for spouse/common law
Their birth certificate
Marraige Certificate
If you need to get study permit for kids too
Original Birth Ceritificates for any child accompanying you.
And of course the fees for any permits applied for

I was advised to take my birth certificate along.
However, I applied for my SOWP separately from Phil applying for his WP - as he went first to start work and then i got mine when I went to visit him in May.
The most important document I would think would be your marraige certificate as this links you as "spouses" - also if you have a passport then you will have submitted your birth certificate when your passport was obtained.
Good Luck Everyone

We had passports, LMO, letter from the employer, and the work permit application forms. We actually had birth certificates, marriage certificates, resume and degree certificates, and pretty much everything apart from the kitchen sink for "just in case" but the guy on the desk only really looked at the letter from the employer I think.
Good Luck!!

My husband did this two weeks ago at Edmonton Airport. I got the open spousal permit as well and it was done in just a few minutes, no problems.

Hi
You should note though, that the OP was going as a truck driver, so the spouse is not eligible for an Open Work Permit as a driver is skill level C in the NOC codes.
