Did you get hit by Land Rover's ridiculous fees for documentation when importing a vehicle? We looked into it a few years ago and they quoted around $2000 which was way more than other manufacturers.

So is the Defender that is now in a container heading here older than 15 years old?

I think anything called a Defender originating in the UK must be at least 40 years old.

They only actually started calling 90s and 110s 'Defender' at the end of 1990...

I think they've probably all been sold now, although there may be a few 'van' ones left in basic trim. They extended the manufacturing end date by a few months to meet a backlog of orders.

Some Electric utility, 4x4 leasing and construction companies in the UK have actually bought a stock of Defenders to keep in storage for a few years for future fleet use.

You can't bring a new one here anyway. 15 years old for Canada, 25 years old for USA.
