Default Working parents

Does anyone have a child in daycare with both parents working?

My wife has started work and her hours are 9am till 6pm, when I start work which I hope will be later in the year I will be working shifts. Before then, we will have to sort out some form of childcare.

Does anyone use Daycare that operates until at least 6.30pm? Roughly how much does it cost a month for full time daycare.

It would be nice if we could find somewhere that allows you to have the child in on different days each week on a repeating pattern to fit in with whatever shift I ended up on, but we never managed to do that in the UK so I doubt we will here.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

Mark
