Hey everyone, I recently started doing some research into doing a 12 month stint in Vancouver with a working holiday visa. I'm 25 and work as a freelance video editor and I believe that I would have better luck in the city due to its prestigious position in media production; not to mention that I love the city!
I did a quick tabulation of the costs that it would take to move out and it's just a shade over $20k for 12 months (most of that being a rent and buying a car). It's pretty steep but what would you all say is the absolutely necessary costs that you need JUST to get out there? Any advice for this and other stuff about settling would be greatly appreciated.
