My friend and I are looking to move to Canada with our families. We both are in our mid 40s and hold a UK class 1 driving licences. We have worked overseas in Africa and in the Middle East. Can you give us advice on visas, accommodation, wages, medical and what areas need drivers. We would like to work as a team if that is possible. Thank you for any advice. Kev

To get you started, here are a couple of Wiki links which will cover the visa, wages and medical info for you -

The main provinces for foreign truck drivers are MB,SK and AB.The east coast dont pay well,BC is expensive for housing and I wouldnt bother with ON,as a truck driver there you cant apply for permanent residency unless your wives can apply for you. There is plenty work for team driving.I moved to Canada in 2007 on a temp.work permit doing the truck driving.
