Default Working in Canada

Hi
Im new to this site and have been reading all the posts about living in Canada. My partner and i have recently applied to move to Canada.
But i am a bit worried that if we are accepted i am going to have trouble finding work and there is a chance i wont find work at all and if i do by any chance get a job i wont be paid very much.I am a bit worried by this as i will need to work in Canada.
Is this true or has anyone else got any views on this subject.

I really want to move to Canada i think it would be a great oppertunity, but there are a few posts on this site saying Canada isnt all that.

any help or advise would be great

Thank you :scared:

Thumbs up Re: Working in Canada

Welcome Georgy.

Would help if you tell us what you want to do, and what qualifications you have. Nearly everyone finds something, but there is absolutely no gaurantee you will find a job at the same level of responsibility you had in the UK. There are some jobs where canadian experience is expected by employers, but I think the tendency here is to reflect the worst on this forum, after all, very few people hang around to extoll the good side of life here.

Dont expect to translate your £ salary directly into $CDN, it doesnt work that way. Cost of living is less here, and salaries reflect that.

What jobs would you be looking for?

Cheers

Iain

I think you have to ask yourself why you want to move here. If it’s for a better way of life then surely it’s worth working damn hard for and maybe starting all over again for. If you are just 'fed up' then you sure as hell won't make it here. You have to really want ‘something’ and not give up no matter what - if that ‘something’ is really what you want and it’s worth it to you.
Good luck
Mike
