work visa questions.

work visa questions.
I have a telephone interview this week and was wondering if people could provide advice on the both temp work visas. I'm not getting ahead of myself with the interview I'm just trying to be prepared.
Thanks to other postings on this website I think I understand the process of the temp work visa. You have to get your job approved by HRSDC first then apply for a work visa. The job is in ALberta and I think Andrew Miller mentioned the other day that visas were taking between 10-12 weeks to approve for Alberta. Would this be the time frame from having your job approved by HRSDC. If so is there any other process that needs to be gone through that takes any amount of time?
Thanks

Re: work visa questions.
Depending on whether or not you need a medical (check the cic website for details but mostly health/school workers) you can fly to Canada with your approved LMO and get a WP issued at the airport, so no delay at all. You also need to be from a country who's citizens don't require a visa to visit Canada, e.g the UK.
