Question Work permit on study visa - Andrew?

Can anyone tell me if I am in Canada and I am on a study visa (2 year course). If I get an offer of a job and the employer is willing to get an LMO can I stop studying and work instead?

Any assistance as always appreciated

Default Re: Work permit on study visa - Anyone??

Has anyone any experience of doing this and if so is it feasible?
Would my application go to London (currently dealing with the skilled worker application) or Canada - as I am in the country??

Any help appreciated.....

Sorry, I can't help you on this one. You'd have a better chance of getting an answer if you posed this question in the Immigration forum.

By the way, I'm confused about your location. Your second post implies that you're in Canada, but your profile indicates that you're in Salisbury. Would that be the Salisbury in Wiltshire or the Salisbury in New Brunswick?

Thanks Julie - well spotted, only been here a couple of weeks so had lots to do. Any easy way of shifting it to immigration or do I just start a new thread there?

Only a moderator can move the thread. If you want it done quickly, probably the best thing to do is just to start a new thread in the Immigration forum.
