No advice concerning house rentals, im on the other side of TO. The production seems to be picking up after the recession. Im lucky being that my employer has not been affected by it at all. The problem seems to be fabrication companies can't find enough SKILLED workers , so if your good at what you do finding a job should not be a major problem, allthough I wouldn't know about the Peterboro area. Being able to read drawings is what companies are looking for. Note the majority of Canadian drawings are in feet and inches not mm, and when applying for jobs or looking at vacancies a plater/welder in UK is a fitter/welder in Canada.
