Hi

Would anyone be able to give me some tips on how to find BC regsitered companies? My flat mate wants to apply for the PNP, but need some companies to target!

Any advice would be appreciated.

Really quick turnaround of our application by PNP too - we submitted on December 8th and heard today, and had no questions or futher requests from PNP. How straightforward!

Even better, my employer paid for it which was an added bonus!

Best get that PR application sorted now...! ;)

Thats great news. We had an email on the 11th jan saying our papers will be assigned to a advisor and should take around 8 to 10 weeks... hope it goes ok.
We are moving to Vancouver Island as soon as house sells and work permit goes thru..
Good luck with your PR now. Bet you cant wait to get it.

Thank - I had the same letter after submitting my application (also saying 8-10 weeks), but then it only took 5...! So fingers crossed that you'll hear soon too! :)

My heart goes out to them who have to wait years, i think they are so brave.
I noticed PNP have taken the payment out of my visa so hoping that is a good sign.

I'm trying to get my future employer in Vancouver to go through the PNP route - but they say it costs an additional 10K$ to get the Labour Market Opinion report and they will only sponsor me to get a regular work permit.... is this true? I can find no mention of this fee on the BC PNP website or anywhere else??

If anyone can confirm/deny these rumours it would be much appreciated !

The PNP scheme has been updated by the Province, so they may be referring to old rules (and an estimate of their expenses of having to do all the admin to go through the LMO process).

Now it is a really straightforward process - and the fee is only $550. If you're employer is still against it you could always offer to pay this (I did initially, but in the end they paid for me).

And if they go down the route of 'PNP takes longer' you can tell them that is no longer true either (a couple of us on the forum have received it in 5 weeks). ;)

Good luck!

Hi - got the PNP within 5 weeks; think getting PR in 5 weeks would have been some all time record!

Clock has just started ticking on PR, as I sent the forms off last week when I was back in England - so fingers crossed that will be okay and won't take too long...
