It's not that cold here.

Just long winters, I would recommend Winnipeg to many people.

yes but its a dry cold!

makes for cheapest ice rinks around - and no bloody gardening or grass cutting or mosquitos.

You have to remember the warmer -7 to +7 cloudy and wet rain is really crap compared to -20 to -30 Clear skies and dry rain (occassionaly).

It's only cold on the outside.

IN Wintertime, they are only out for 4-5 months of the year

Never seen a Black Fly in Winnipeg. I don't recall having seen one in Manitoba, but maybe in the woods.
