Winnepeg
Hi there
I've been looking around on the net and Winnipeg, as far as I can tell, seems to have one of the highest crime problems in Canada.
Can anyone on here, who knows the area, give me some of the pro's and cons.
Many thanks

What sort of crime do they have in Winnipeg? Why do you think it's worse there than in say, Davis Inlet or Toronto?

Re: Winnepeg
Yes it is so few people so many crimminals getting caught.
now is that a good or bad thingthing?
Depends on what your doing and where you live here, same as anywhere else. If you look only at crime stats not many places are good areas.
Ps we are not all crimminals here.

Re: Winnepeg
Pros:
cheap housing
cheap electricity
cheap car insurance
surprisingly good shops, libraries, sports facilities, concerts etc
white sand dune beaches <1hr away
some fabulous architecture in the exchange district
seem to be plenty jobs
Cons:
miles from any larger city if you fancy a change
poor offering of flights out, and expensive
lots of racist attitudes
I haven't experienced any crime here, we came from 2.5yrs in Glasgow which I believe is touted as the murder capital of Europe? Also didn't have any trouble there. No wait, someone pinched my VW badge off my car in Glasgow. And I did that to someone's when I was a teen and the Beastie Boys were cool and to be copied, so I wasn't exactly upset about it.
